BIOGRAPHY

Dawn graduated from Western Michigan University in 2001 with a BS in Environmental Studies and Geography with an emphasis in Resource Management. She went on to receive her MS in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Biology Certification from Antioch New England Graduate School in 2004. In both programs, she participated in various field classes located in Brazil, Hawaii, New England, and Alaska. She was active in volunteer programs including restoring native prairies and working with children of all ages.

Dawn has worked in Montessori schools for 10 years and presently teaches Math and Science in the Middle School. She enjoys teaching through the Montessori method to help nurture the love of learning in students. She believes it will truly help individuals to become compassionate, global citizens, and transform our communities into better places.

Originally from Michigan, Dawn currently lives in Hudson with her husband and three sons. Outside of school, she enjoys running, hiking, and working on her small hobby farm.
