Conservatory of Music

At the Conservatory of Music at Hudson Montessori School, we ignite, inspire, and engage the musician in every student, helping them grow into the best versions of themselves through an environment of holistic excellence. Guided by our experienced, dedicated faculty, students and families flourish together on a shared musical journey toward a lifetime of artistry, service, fulfillment, and joy.

Conservatory Students

Students who begin their musical studies at COM@HMS gain confidence and the ability to perform regularly both on and off campus as soon as they are able. While studying with COM@HMS faculty, they are given the tools for becoming their best in an encouraging, supportive environment that honors each student’s individual pace and fosters a genuine love of learning. They build connections with fellow young musicians and learn from distinguished guest artists such as the award-winning Callisto Quartet, the Fire and Grace duo, and artists from institutions like the Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music, Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Kent State University, Youngstown State University, and Chamber Music Connection. Many students contribute to their communities through ensembles such as the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Contemporary Youth Orchestra, and Akron Youth Symphony, as well as their school’s most advanced ensembles. Advanced students also attend highly regarded summer programs to further their growth, and some leave COM@HMS to pursue music as a career. Each student is given the opportunity to become the best musician they choose to be — self-motivated and self-directed in their pursuit of excellence. The Conservatory includes students from Hudson Montessori School, as well as from across Northeast Ohio and beyond.
