BIOGRAPHY

Erica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College (IN) in 1999 and her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University in 2007. She began her teaching career in the Cleveland Municipal School District in 1999 through 2005 instructing in 2nd through 4th grade classrooms.

In 2005, she took time off to be a stay-at-home mother to her four children and then returned to the classroom in 2022 with Kent State University’s Child Development Center. Erica has been an education advocate and local education-related volunteer with responsibilities ranging from pre-school aged children to high school adults, including serving as President of the Hudson Preschool Parents (2010–2013) and as a Vice President of the Twinsburg Parent-Teacher Association (2017–2021).

In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time with her four children, watching them play baseball/volleyball, taking family hikes and bike rides around the CVNP, and traveling the country with her husband, Rob.
