BIOGRAPHY

Kayla Dureiko earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from Kent State University in 2016, with concentrations in Interpersonal Communication, Health Communication, and Human Development and Family Studies. During her time at Kent State, she developed an interest in Montessori education while exploring various educational philosophies.

Kayla joined HMS as a toddler classroom assistant, where she quickly discovered her passion for Montessori education and working with young children. After several years of dedication in the classroom, she earned her Children’s House Lead Guide diploma in August 2023. This year, Kayla is excited to step into her new role as Co-Lead Teacher, continuing to foster a love of learning in young students.

A lifelong resident of Stow, Ohio, Kayla enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, their one-year-old son, Owen, and their dog, Cooper. She loves visiting local restaurants, cheering on Cleveland sports teams (go Cavs!), and relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee. She also enjoys supporting her husband in his role as head boys’ lacrosse coach at Stow-Munroe Falls High School.
