Ashley has over 20 years of experience in childcare and 15 years in special education. Prior to HMS, she served as the lead teacher in a special education therapy center and spent 3 years in Montessori, which has helped shape the way she approaches teaching and learning today.

She believes children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore, discover, and follow their own interests. She loves creating an environment where children can build independence, develop confidence, and learn at their own pace. She incorporates Montessori principles by encouraging children to make choices, learn through hands-on experiences, care for their environment, and develop practical life skills. Her goal is to follow each child’s individual interests and use those interests to create meaningful learning experiences.

Outside of the classroom, she is a proud mom of four children. In her free time, she enjoys watching her kids play sports, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her family.

She is truly looking forward to getting to know HMS children and families. She feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to watch your children grow, learn, and discover the world around them. She can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes them!
