BIOGRAPHY
Hannah Irvine was a Montessori student from ages 2–18. After attending three different Montessori schools around Cleveland, she was advised to first get a degree in something she loved, and then pursue her Montessori education. She attended Earlham College and graduated with a Bachelor’s in environmental studies and a minor in music. She attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and received her Master’s in Montessori education for lower elementary. She began teaching lower elementary but had the opportunity to finish her training in upper elementary at the Montessori Elementary Teacher Training Collaborative (METTC) in Boston the next summer. Hannah began teaching upper elementary for 2 additional years, and then had the opportunity to transfer to Hudson Montessori. Hannah is very impressed with the ongoing communication of the Hudson community, as well as the unwavering support and kindness of her fellow staff members.
In addition to her passion for Montessori, Hannah also enjoys riding horses, spending time with her cat, running, swimming, biking, backpacking, and gardening. Some fun facts about Hannah are that she facetimes her grandmother (who lives in California and is over 90!) every Thursday night, she wore the same pair of indoor shoes for nearly 14 years between high school and her first years teaching (they are in a special box in her classroom!), and she got married in the summer of 2026 and took a honeymoon to London and Paris, where she finally got to speak French, a language she’d be learning since kindergarten!
