BIOGRAPHY

Huck Ford studied Forest Ecology and Geography at Ohio University before working for the US Forest Service.  He then worked in camps and outdoor education.  It was while working at FFA Camp Muskingum that he was introduced to Montessori and specifically Hudson Montessori School.  When Huck was looking to move into more formal education, he remembered the curiosity, respect, and joy that he experienced with the HMS students at camp.  That led to Huck working in the Upper Elementary at HMS for six years as both and assistant and lead.  Huck now serves at the Director of the Middle School where he also teaches math.  Away from school, Huck enjoys daily life with his wife and kids, playing music in his band Word of Mouth, swimming, golf, and generally being outside as much as possible.
