BIOGRAPHY

Jocelyn joined Hudson Montessori School as a Children’s House Teacher this year. Originally from New York City, she has loved living in Ohio for the last ten years. Her husband, Andrew, is an HMS alum, and their son, Sebastian (2), will be joining the YCC program this year.

Jocelyn began her Montessori experience when she decided to volunteer at the Elizabeth Ann Clune Montessori School of Ithaca. It was then and there that she fell in love with the Montessori methodology. Upon arriving in Cleveland, she was hired as an assistant for Stonebrook Montessori’s pilot program before pursuing training under the late Joan Bettmann in Atlanta, GA. Since 2016, Jocelyn has taught in primary classrooms (ages 3–6) at Stonebrook Montessori, a charter school on the East Side of Cleveland, and most recently at Ruffing Montessori in Rocky River.

Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ithaca College in Music with a Concentration in Classical Voice. She earned her Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) diploma from the International Montessori Training Institute.

“I am so tremendously grateful to have found my professional passion in life. It is such a joy and honor to watch children grow into the best version of themselves.”

In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys spending time with family and friends. The Haag’s enjoy camping in the summer and hiking year-round. They have two cats, Odin and Maize, who are very special and loved. Jocelyn is a marathon runner, loves yoga, enjoys listening to podcasts and reading.
