BIOGRAPHY

Katie grew up in Westford, Massachusetts and holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in International Affairs and German Studies. While in college Katie had her first experience living abroad while participating in a one year full-immersion program in Berlin, Germany. After graduating in 2012 she moved to Incheon, South Korea to teach English at a public elementary school for one year. Katie continued her career as a teacher abroad spending one year teaching ESL and 2nd Grade in Bogotá, Colombia and three years as a Core Teacher for 2nd Grade at a Nord Anglia school in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

In mid-2020 Katie transitioned to teaching online and had the opportunity to teach English to more than 400 students in China over the course of one year. Katie and her husband moved to Northeastern Ohio in early 2021 and feel right at home here! Katie is thrilled to be a member of the Hudson Montessori community and loves the respect each child is given at this school that allows them to thrive to their fullest potential.

Outside of school Katie is a dedicated runner and yogi. She and her husband enjoy exploring all the amazing running paths within the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park! She also enjoys puzzles, music, and movies. Katie is fluent in Spanish and German and can speak a bit of Korean as well.
